Regional & National Roles
Want to get involved in the campaign beyond your branch?
There are a number of regional positions available both regionally and nationally, such as acting as the contact point for local breweries as a Brewery Liaison Officer or looking at ways to improve public transportation to pubs (Regional Public Transport Co-ordinator). Whatever your interest, there is something out there for you.
In addition, national committees are made up of volunteers who focus on specific areas of the Campaign. These can range from cider campaigning to beer festival management and public affairs strategy.
Committees usually meet 2-4 times a year on a Saturday afternoon. Joining a Committee is a great way to use your skills and gain new ones – see the range of CAMRA Committees and Working Groups to get an idea of what’s involved . For more information please contact email@example.com
If you’re interested in running for leadership of the Campaign, the National Executive election takes place at CAMRA’s AGM. Information about the application and nomination process is outlined in What’s Brewing leading up to the election and available on the AGM site.
As per CAMRA’s volunteer expenses policy, travelling expenses will be reimbursed for Committee members attending meetings.
Support CAMRA in your region as a Young Member Co-ordinator!
The Young Members Working Group represents the needs of our young members – those aged 18-30 – to ensure that the Campaign continues to attract the next generation of beer-lovers and pub-goers.
Regional Young Members Coordinators meet once a year and conduct other business via email and online. They’re currently recruiting for positions in:
Greater London, Kent, Merseyside & Cheshire, Surrey & Sussex, Wales, Wessex & Channel Islands.
