CAMRA is encouraging pubs and festivals across the capital to celebrate all things beer this week as the Great British Beer Festival opens its doors at Olympia London.

Running from 6-10 August, the UK’s largest beer festival will bring 1,000 different beers, ciders, perries, wines and gins under one roof, attracting beer-aficionados from across the UK and abroad to the capital.

This year, London’s world-renowned pub scene is invited to join the festivities by hosting events across the capital to coincide with CAMRA’s Summer of Pub campaign, which aims to encourage pub-going over the warmer months.

These activities can range from quiz nights to garden parties to movie screenings, attracting more footfall through the door as part of CAMRA’s Summer of Pub campaign.

CAMRA’s National Chairman Nik Antona said: “Our Great British Beer Festival makes London a beer destination for 40,000 visitors each year. We want to work with pubs across the city to encourage pub-going before and after your festival visit to support London pubs.

“London is truly the City of Beer, with more than 100 breweries across the capital and dozens of award-winning pubs. We look forward to celebrating throughout the festival week from 6-10 August.”
