A summer of fun planned the Three Moles, Selham

A rural pub nestled in the beautiful village of Selham will be organising a number of events this summer to help celebrate CAMRA’s Summer of Pub campaign – an initiative to encourage pub-going over the summer months.

The Three Moles is a traditional country pub in the heart of the South Downs National Park described as the ‘village living room – where everyone is welcome to come and have a great time’. With a new menu, a large beer garden and a marquee for group bookings it is the perfect place to enjoy a pint this summer.

The pub will be organising a number of events to encourage locals and visitors alike to head down to their pub this summer. Forthcoming activities include:

  • Summer Party – After the success of their Caribbean Party last summer, they are in the process of planning a Sri Lankan Party for this summer. Traditional food cooked by a local Sri Lankan family and live music – 27 July from 5-11 pm

  • Their second beer festival of the summer will take place with a selection of real ales from local brewers, live entertainment and food – 23-25 August

CAMRA is working hundreds of pubs, including the Three Moles, to organise events to celebrate pub-going this summer, helping to keep the tradition alive by reminding the public how important their local is to their community.

CAMRA’s National Chairman Nik Antona said: “It’s fantastic to see so many pubs get involved in the Summer of Pub campaign and put on events to encourage visitors through their doors this summer. From World Cups screenings to Quiz Nights and Garden Parties, the range of activities taking place demonstrates how unique the Great British Pub is as an institution – reminding us all why we need to work so hard to preserve it.”

Tom Richardson from the Three Moles said: “The Three Moles is the only pub in the world with the name, and continues to be unique in that we are still 85% wet sales led. We want to stay a proper pub – not a gastropub, which is why we focus on ensuring that we uphold 5* cellar rating from Cask Marque and a St Austell Brewery Masters Certificate to serve top-quality beer. We were voted Pub of the Year last year by readers of the Observer newspaper series, and look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far this summer.”
