The building is a shop conversion by Hall & Woodhouse dating from December 1999, and run by them as a wet-led pub until mid-2025. After a further conversion this is now a gastropub, the second pub secured by Joe Grossmann, founder of better burger concept Patty & Bun.
Two cask ales are on offer. There is a full menu at lunch for bookings and walk-ins, but in the evenings the full menu is restricted to the back section, with a bar snack menu for the rest of the pub.
