This Pub is Closed Long Term

July 2023 - a CAMRA member attended the 2023 Young's AGM and was informed as follows, ".................. that they acquired the John Salt as part of a package and having had their planning application for a hotel turned down they don't see a future as it was previously a cocktail bar and only really successful when owned by Sarah Cox and her husband.

Jan 2023 - Noticed last night as closed and tinned up; website confirms. Website says, "closed in preparation for an exciting new project" which is not explained. Update 26/06/23 - still closed, no news on website.

Became the Keston Lodge at the end of 2012. Acquired by Young's in Oct 2014 so real ale could well appear but no sign as of June 2015.

Latest Bass owned ‘All Bar One’, opened December 2000 in former law centre offices. French windows along frontage and the usual cream and green décor inside with polished pine flooring, light pine furniture with sofas at the front. Exposed cream coloured extractors, hanging clock, mirrors, fans etc. Stairs lead up to a balcony seating area overlooking the main bar. Small patio at rear. Newspapers, board games, food. Open 12-11 Mon-Sat, 12-10.30 Sun.
