Traditional City pub, built in the 1820s. Was named the Hedgehog & Hogshead before reverting back. Not that big, mostly high stools and standing room around the central bar. Single cask ale pump. Basic toasted sandwich menu.

Grade II listing:- Early/mid C19 corner building of gault brick and stucco. 3 storeys. 3 windows to each front. Pilastered ground storey with 4 engaged Ionic columns and partly altered glazing. Corniced and pedimented 1st floor windows. Main cornice mutilated, stuccoed parapet above.
