After closing on 31 October 2025, the former Claret Wine Bar reopened as the Halfway Inn on 1 April 2026. Refurbishment is continuing in the rear of the pub, temporarily closed off from the rest of the pub. The handpumps remain in place but cask ale isn't being served at the moment.

The pub is in Cheam's main street, handy for the shops and public transport. The decor is mainly light wood and the compact interior houses tables of different sizes.
