PUB NEWS
Harlington
The Old Sun is under new management. The beers were still good on our recent social evening visit. They are planning to serve tapas food or good, wholesome soup and crusty bread. We wish Steve the best of luck with his new venture.
The Carpenters Arms have added a fourth ale to their line up. They now serve Adnams Bitter, Youngs Bitter, B&T Shefford Bitter and Timothy Taylor Landlord. Lynda is clearly doing an excellent job here.

Woburn
The Royal Oak has re-opened after a closed spell. We welcome any reports.

Silsoe
The George is planning to have Greene King's XX Mild on regularly. This is excellent news for lovers of this sadly rare style of ale.

East Anglia Regional Pub of the Year
The Chequers in Little Gransden, Cambridgshire is the new East Anglian Pub of the Year. The Chequers beat the winners from the other five counties in the region including the Wellington Arms in Bedford. Little Gransden is not that far from our branch being just over the border of North East Bedfordshire so why not pay it a visit.

Good Beer Guide 2009
The latest issue of the "bible" is now on sale - visit the CAMRA website to order your copy (discount for members). We work very hard on the guide every year and this year was no exception with 23 entries from South Bedfordshire. You can also now get useful addition to allow your Sat Nav to find the best pubs for you and a mobile internet version of the guide.

Beds Online Pub Guide
This is intended to be an up to date guide to all public houses and bars serving draft beer in Bedfordshire. Please feel free to browse the guide using the Pub Guide link on the left.
We need your help in keeping it up to date. If you see something that's wrong, missing or could just be improved please let us know.
