Help us save our Scottish pubs!

Every week a pub is lost in Scotland and your voice is needed to urge the Scottish Government to give greater protection to pubs and the licensees which run them.

A consultation has been launched in Scotland which assesses the need for the Scottish Government to introduce a Pubs Code and Adjudicator to govern the behaviour of large pub companies and ensure licensees are treated fairly.

And your voice is key to ensuring the Scottish Government listens to the views of pub goers and consumers.

As you may be aware, last year a Statutory Pubs Code came into force in England and Wales to govern the relationship between tied tenants and pub companies. An Adjudicator was also established to conduct investigations into breaches of the Code, with the power to impose financial penalties on pub companies that do so.

A similar system is urgently needed in Scotland to ensure licensees across the country are not left behind or disadvantaged compared to those in England and Wales.

Please use this opportunity to ensure the voices of consumers is heard.
