The Square and Compass, in Worth Matravers, Dorset played host to grateful CAMRA members from across the UK in celebration of the pub's outstanding contribution to real cider and perry.
After a closely fought contest between the Valley Bar, Scarborough, the Odd One Out, Colchester and Coopers Tavern, Burton Upon Trent, the Square and Compass reigned supreme as the CAMRA National Cider Pub of the Year, with Andrea Briers, Chair of the National Cider and Perry Committee handing over the award to pub manager Charlie Newman and licensee Kevin Hunt.
