With the most recent Beer & Pub Association report highlighting that 39 pubs are closing every week, CAMRA has to do more than ever to support local pubs through these difficult times.

What can I do?

  1. Read through this page and download any resources that you think may help.
  2. Browse our forum to get some campaigning ideas and advice.
  3. Contact your local CAMRA branch and see what further advice they can give you.
  4. If a particular pub is under threat in your area you can also contact your local MP and ask them for help.
  5. Most importantly, give your pubs support by continuing to visit them on a regular basis!

CAMRA LocAle
CAMRA LocAle is a new initiative that promotes pubs stocking locally brewed real ale. The scheme builds on a growing consumer demand for quality local produce and an increased awareness of 'green' issues.

The CAMRA LocAle scheme was created in 2007 by CAMRA's Nottingham branch which wanted to help support the tradition of brewing within Nottinghamshire, following the demise of local brewer Hardys and Hansons.

Everyone benefits from local pubs stocking locally-brewed real ale!
