National Winter Ales Festival, Jan 2008
|
The National Winter Ales Festival in Manchester has closed its doors for another
year.
The National Winter Ales Festival was organised by CAMRA to showcase a wide range of beer
styles, particularly those winter warmers which are so popular with beer drinkers during the
winter months. With a selection of 200 beers, real ale in a bottle, ciders and perrys there
was something that suited everyone's tast.
Last Thursday Wickwar Station Porter was announced the overall winner of the
Champion Winter Beer of Britain competition! Runners up included Robinson's Old Tom (silver)
and Hop Back Entire Stout (bronze).
