CAMRA campaigns to cut the tax burden on the Great British Pub. Pubs now face a trple tax burden of beer duty, business rates and VAT, with a third of the cost of a pint in a pub now being made up of tax.

And a storm is brewing on the horizon - As 18 pubs a week continue to close, CAMRA is calling on the Government to abandon upcoming increases to the tax paid by pubs in November's Budget. Current plans will see beer duty rise by around 2p per pint, and pubs are set to lose £1,000 in business rate relief.
