Event listing - Camp by the seaside at this summer's beer festivals

Looking to camp out by the seaside this summer? Why not tie your visit in with one of the fantastic beer festivals taking place!

Clacton on Sea Real Ale & Cider Festival

23-26 August 2017

Open from 11 am – 11 pm, 6 pm – 11 pm on Saturday

The Clacton-on-Sea Real Ale and Cider Festival will be taking place at St James' Hall and offer over 65 real ales, ciders, perries, wines and international beers to visitors. The festival is very near to the seafront and will be taking place at the same time as the famous Clacton Air Show, so why not combine both visits in one? There is plenty of holiday camping in the area and the festival is child friendly.

Chappel Beer Festival

5-9 September 2017

Open from 11 am -11pm, opens at 5pm on Tuesday

The Chappel Beer Festival is held in the East Anglian Railway Museum. Guests can enjoy a beer while sitting in a train carriage. For safety reasons, the museum does not perform any train movements while the festival is open, but the trains are accessible to be viewed and sat upon. The festival spills out onto a field owned by the museum which is also used for public camping. Children are encouraged over the weekend, when family-friendly events such as Morris dancing, Ferret racing and a local formation wheelbarrow pushing team will be taking place.

Falmouth Beer Festival

19-21 October 2017

Open from 11am-11pm, on Thursday from 6-8pm

The Falmouth Beer Festival is held at the Princess Pavilion, a wonderful venue with sea views, picturesque gardens and beaches – all within a five minute's walk from the town centre! The Festival overlooks Falmouth's Gyllynvase Beach and is very near three handy campsites, along with a number of hotels and B&Bs. Family and dog friendly, this Festival offers over 240 beers and ciders to sample within two massive marquees.
