Scottish Parliamentary Reception a success

CAMRA's annual Scottish Reception was a huge success as over 50 MSPs, CAMRA volunteers and industry representatives came together to celebrate and campaign for real ale in Scotland.

The reception was hosted by MSP Patrick Harvie who welcomed fellow guests to Edinburgh.

He congratulated CAMRA and Scotland's growing brewing industry for the significant contribution real ale makes to local communities across Scotland.

CAMRA representatives discussed key campaigns with MSPs, including calling for the introduction of a Scottish Community Pubs Minister, strengthening the Community Right to Buy, and supporting Scotland's growing brewing industry.

A range of real ales were also available for guests to enjoy, including beers from Stewart Brewing, Fyne Ales, Kelburn and Ayr Brewing.

CAMRA's Campaigns Manager Emily Ryans said: "The event was a great success which highlighted the fantastic work CAMRA volunteers are doing to raise the profile of real ale in Scotland".
