CAMRA partners with to raise awareness of the British pub


With a staggering 27 pubs closing down every week, CAMRA has partnered with to celebrate the variety of great British pubs across the country.

Just like fish and chips wrapped in yesterday's newspaper or the hopeful nature of potentially spotting the Queen while visiting our capital, the British pub is an iconic phenomenon. A traditional pub stands apart from other drinking establishments with its dated wooden furnishings and cosy snugs - pubs offer the ideal spot for a quiet pint or a catch up with friends over some tasty home-cooked British food.

To highlight the important role that the pub plays in the UK's heritage, is joining CAMRA to raise awareness of the decline of this precious tradition.

The leading holiday cottage company has released stats revealing that its customers still see the pub as a prominent feature to their getaway. From the years 2014 to 2015, searches for a cottage near a pub have increased by a whopping 158%. Not only has it increased dramatically over the years but it also comes in higher place then waterside views, quirky properties and family-friendly escapes!

These statistics alone show the ongoing importance of the pub to a visitor's stay, but also to the lifestyles of those who see the pub as a tradition.
