ACV Workshop in Newcastle

Want to learn how you could help to save your local pub? CAMRA will be hosting a workshop in Newcastle on Saturday 23rd July so you can hear how you can hear how you can kick-start a campaign in your Branch area to protect our much loved pubs.

Every week, 27 pubs close their doors forever. But new laws mean that campaigners like you have even more opportunity to save them.

Topics covered include nominating your pub as an ‘Asset of Community Value', navigating the planning system, community-owned pubs, what your council should be doing for you, and engaging with local councillors.

The details of the event are as follows:

Date: Saturday 23rd July
Venue: The Bridge Pub Hotel, Castle Square, Newcastle, NE1 1RQ
Time: 12-3pm with the option of 1-2-1 meetings following the event

The Bridge Hotel is an excellent heritage pub with stunning views of the River Tyne. Built on a medieval site, the Bridge Hotel is a traditional venue with some excellent beers including Anarchy Blonde Star, Sharp's Doom Bar and Three Kings Castle Keep.

The pub is also just a 500m walk from Newcastle Central Railway Station.

Please do come along to hear how you could save your local pub and to taste some excellent beers.

Spaces are limited so please book your place as soon as possible by emailing

faye.grima@camra.org.uk or phone the Campaigns Team on 01727 798 449.

We look forward to hopefully seeing you there!
