CAMRA would be nothing without our army of volunteers. Many bring existing knowledge and skills from their daily lives to help the organisation. However, we also recognise that a little training with give others confidence to take on new roles. In other cases training is essential for safety and legal compliance. As well as helping you to help CAMRA, such training can be useful to members in other walks of life too.
Over the last few years CAMRA has achieved great campaigning successes through the use of IT and in particular various websites. The Brewery Information System has helped Brewery Liaison Officers to compile the information of the brewery section of the Good Beer Guide. Pubzilla has supported branch committee volunteers in collating the information for WhatPub and the pub section of the Good Beer Guide.
On Tuesday 28th June CAMRA once again invited Members of the Scottish Parliament, CAMRA volunteers and industry representatives to Holyrood for its annual reception.

This year’s Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) is set to be the best ever,r with everything from limited edition brews and one-off specials from some of our best known real ale breweries, to award-winning favourites from microbreweries across the UK and even an American Cask beer bar unique to the festival.
Drinkers and pub-goers in Broadstairs and the surrounding area can have their say on the future of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) this Saturday when one of its 50 consultation meetings taking place around the country is staged in the city.
Guests at corporate events love to enjoy the odd tipple and many may think they know what makes a good pint. But do they?
